big love

to my wife ali for a luuuuuverly day.....to liz her good news today tempered with the other sad news... the lord giveth and the lord taketh away ..aint that the flaming truth .. big love to Trace who is living in the perceptual darkness over the loss of her son jayden.. big love to them that call themselves a friend both in the real world and cyber land.
Been a marvelous day .. today is "our" day,, the girls are at school, time for me and ali to play.. Fleet ponds was the place of choice .. fresh snow there yesterday made for a even better winter scene than the other day .. the lake had frozen over some more leaving only a couple of biggish patches of open water ,,one of which was being patrolled by two youngish thuggish male swans who were busy chasing all the birdlife out of the water .. when we got to the little pier we were met by a gaggle of swans all wondering towards the nearby road..so i just walked through the middle of 15 or so swans who then turned round and followed me back towards the water !! funny to watch all these swans following .. one matey passed ,stopped and watched and said to ali,, ha swan whisperer ... me..i put it down to pulling the birds.. they follow me in droves..honk honk...
after that we went for a bit of dinner.. very civilised,, very nice.. home for an afternoon ciesta... been a real nice day ... so big thanks to Mrs W for that ..now im tackling squash for the first time in years with my old sparring partner, mark ..worked with him years ago ... hes like me,, same age ,, same build , he has two daughters so do i .. etc etc ... when i first worked with mark i was fitter and had recently played when Mark told me he use to play at county level.. looking at him ya think ,, yeah right,,, lets test that .. so I did.. i lost then and havnt beaten him since.. but tonite,, oh yes tonite is gonner be my lucky nite ...
