North Gyle
Now this blip must rank as one of my most boring blips ever (apologies), but not much opportunity to get out today, so here is a blip 0f the North Gyle Road, which is on my walk back home from the office, which is in South Gyle.
South Gyle lies at the western edge of the Edinburgh and to the south and west of an area of former marshland once known as the Gogarloch, on the edge of Corstorphine. To the north, some streets in the area have names including the words "North Gyle" but North Gyle does not correspond to a recognised separate area. Most of the buildings in the area are of recent origin, dating from the later 1980s, 1990s and early 21st century, with the exception of some farm workers' cottages and an early 1970s council estate abutting South Gyle railway station.
Now doesn't that description just sound lovely and just the place you want to visit.
To be honest, the Gyle area is not that bad, and is quite a nice place to live and work (mind you, I claim to live in Corstorphine!).
