The Farnella
Farnella is a stern trawler. She was built in 2000 and is based in Kingston upon Hull. Today, she was tied up in Peterhead on the Blubber Box Quay.
The quay is so named because it was here that in the 19th century the Arctic whalers landed their barrels of blubber. The blubber was then rendered for its oil in the boil yards which were situated on the site of the modern petroleum oil tanks in the photograph.
