After the Wouda pumping station was restored in 2014, a lot of iron and other materials remained that could no longer be used. Among other things, wood from the flood doors and puddle iron was left. The puddel iron is a special type of iron that is no longer produced today. For forging, however, it is nice material to work with and is therefore gratefully incorporated in the bench.
