Nuts!

When I was in town the other day, I made a trip into Lakeland especially to pick up a pack of Soap Nuts.  Apparently, besides using them for laundry, you can also pop one in an empty spray bottle with some warm water (shake it thoroughly) to get your own household cleaning fluid spray for worktops, basins, windows and suchlike.  Anyway, you know what a sucker I am for concocting home-made cleaners...I look forward to trying this suggestion out.

In the meantime, I figured what a terrific laundry cleaner this will be to take on holiday too - one little cotton bag containing five nuts will be lightweight and cuts out the need for fabric softener to boot and is supposed to last for four washes.  (I know, don't tell me - I need to get out more!)
