Auckland Tower

Today we were up early to take the bus back to Melbourne Airport ready for our flight to New Zealand.  The flight left the ground about an hour late - I'd already watched half an hour of a film! - but we did manage to make up time on the way.

We were confused by the meal options on this flight - everything we read said that there was no provided food (it was only a three hour flight - we had already bought and eaten before boarding) but then there was a menu waiting for us as we got on.  We managed to replace our food option with a free Cookie Time cookie so we were happy!

After arriving in Auckland we took the bus into the city and then walked to our hotel.  This was a little more "uphill" than we were expecting!  We then had a short wander in the area near the hotel, which is under the tower, before we had a light dinner in the hotel.
