Trentham Gardens

This Blip is the Italian Garden at Trentham (Stoke-on-Trent), looking down to the mile-long lake which was designed by Capability Brown.
Whilst the garden largely survived, the majority of the Hall was pulled down in 1912. My extra shows the sculpture gallery and clock tower standing derelict - the reason given is they are too costly to repair and renovate!
