Winter Windermere
Such a gorgeous day when we woke up in Lancashire we headed for the Lakes and we're up in Bowness in an hour. Because we are usually climbing or Fellwalking when in the Lakes we often seem to bypass the little towns and more obvious spots so it was just nice to potter about. We even took the car onto Hawkshead Ferry, which drove the Sat Nav into a nervous wreck! This shot is picture postcard colours....but see the Extra for the dramatic sky looking the opposite way on the ferry. Drove back across Kirkstone Pass ....I love that road...and the views of the Langdales where spectacular....but it wasn't easy to stop and blip them so just enjoyed them from the car!
