The statue arrives

An historic day for Barrow on Humber. The long awaited statue of local hero John Harrison arrived and was installed.  First the 2.5 ton stone plinth was swung out from the truck and fixed to the nearest mm on the foundation pad.  Then John himself is lowered and carefully (see the pic) fitted to the stone. Official unveiling by ex Time Lord Colin Baker on the 24th.
