On the riverbank

It was so nice to have some sun today after yesterday's torrential, incessant rain. I celebrated by taking Polly to the park for the first time for ages and she really seemed to enjoy it. She made it halfway round and then went in the pushchair for the second half. No sign of the egrets or the heron, but we saw this magpie and a treecreeper.

I got an article submitted today that I've been working on for ages. Quite a relief and very exciting to have got my first peer-reviewed paper past the refereeing stage and onwards towards copy editing.  Now to get on with the next one.
