pleasing post

Zeke had a trip to the post office with school this week. Each child wrote a letter home, bought a stamp and put their letter in the postbox. He was very excited. But nowhere near as excited as I was when the post arrived and it was for ME! An invitation to afternoon tea with the Reception class - who could say no? Not I.

Today involved a run to my sister’s, a stroll back with snoozing Isaac in the pushchair, actual sunshine, a visit to N and G and more besides. I told the kids I’d cook them whatever they liked for tea. To my abject horror (but acceptance of its undeniable truth) they said the best thing Mummy cooks is spaghetti carbonara in the box. As in the one from M&S. So it was spectacularly easy to fulfil my teatime promise though slightly troubling for my ego.

Grateful for blue sky, revelation, funny messages, lovely time with the children.
