The final descent

Woke up about 4am needing to visit the toilet and the sky was just studded with so many stars and the Milky Way, brighter than ever before. Got a bit stuck lying on my picnic bench watching shooting stars and hoping I have a few more moments like this before I must leave the Southern Hemisphere.
A short stretch this morning completed the trail and then a relaxing and sunny but long wait for the bus. Back to Nelson and the not so lovely party hostel, however, the shower was fantastic and much needed.
