Abandoned books

Saw these brand new books abandoned on the dock. It looked like the crows had been pecking at the paper bag, maybe hoping there were snacks inside. I took them into a nearby cafe in case the owner came back looking for them.
Extra: a rather unusual "work of art" at the edge of the water, a bit phallic I thought. The candle, tin cans and chain were odd details.
