International Women's Day....

....with number 1977  leading the women at the 5K mark at Aldi's Chester 10k. Great atmosphere and nice to see that the water was being offered in paper cups. No single use bottles of water anywhere! Slightly problematic as the water jumps out of the cup as the runners run so they need to stop if they want a long drink.  Somebody smart needs to invent a paper cup with a spouted lid.
UPDATE...1977, Gemma Steele, Charnwood AC, held on to her lead and finished in 36 mins 22 secs. Tessa MCCormick, 1979, maintained her second spot in 36 mins 44 secs.
