Anger
The coronovirus response is making me angry about all of the other problems.
Where was the huge international response to combat those dying from lung conditions due to the pollution? Dirty air is killing us, but those masks don't seem to motivate.
Where's the reassurance about food security from Government for those families needing to use food banks? We'll make sure you're fed if you're in isolation but not if you can't afford to.
Where's the promises of international collaboration and forging links in data to protect wildlife and victims of human trafficking?
Where's the millions in healthcare for other countries to combat diseases we already know about?
I'm not saying Covid-19 is not a problem and doesn't need a response, but the panic and fear that is circulating seems overblown.
The selfishness gets to me too. We all know that if we each buy a bit more then it will cause problems, but we do it anyway as we don't trust each other not to panic buy too. We've bought more than we normally would and I'm ashamed of it, really. Under pressure, I've been selfish too.
The photo is entirely unrelated, she's a custom mini of my Dungeons and Dragons character (a Tiefling druid for anyone who speaks that language). I'm hoping bashing some imaginary orcs over the head will help to diffuse some of the frustration I'm feeling today.
