But heading back in that direction?
I overwintered two of my carnivores outdoors.

The biggy dates back to 22nd July 2012, when it was the same colour as it is now.
If anybody's interested; I charted its chequered carreer as links, from this to one puny, green, leaf and back up again.
"We" can expect a bit of deterioration over winter while they're in resting phase; though I'm not over sure about the other wee Fly Trap. We shall see as the year progresses.
I have another four indoors, of which more later.

Despite having a sheet of glass over, we've had so much rain I had to bail out until the little one got its feet back on terra firma; or as I once read:-
LESS terror, more firmer.
