Seashells on the Forest Floor

No wildflowers were seen in the woods today, but there were lots of mosses, fungi, lichen on decaying tree trunks, and ferns sprouting up through the fallen brown leaves.  And bluebirds and chickadees down by the creek.  And tons of chicken feathers around one of the grills.  At home we found our crocuses had bloomed and a bee was busy pollunating.  And mosquitoes.  Darn it.
