Orchids

I'm two days behind in my blips but thought I might try to sneak in something for Flower Friday. I shot these in a friend's greenhouse.  They are some kind of tropical orchids but I had to take her word for it because I'm orchid ignorant.

She also has a tropical butterfly house so I might be spending a lot of time in there before we go on vacation. Coincidentally, we  will be gone at the same time.  I've known her since 2009 but had never been to her home so I was surprised.

It was a gorgeous day, over 80°/27° with a few clouds and a slight breeze.  Hard to stay inside in front of the computer when it's perfect weather.  That will probably change when it gets above 103°/39°.
