Braving the cold

This little bird was fluffing up his feathers to keep out the icy temperatures which have been a feature of the last few days. He didn't even flinch when I edged closer to take this picture. My birdwatching friend J tells me it is a male reed bunting. They come into gardens to feed when the going gets tough in the fields that surround our village.

For the record: Max 1C but it felt colder...
