A&E Trip

On Friday morning I had a dentist appointment to repair the new filling that fell out the day after I’d had it done last week.

On the way walking there I felt a tight heavy feeling around my chest and looked at my Fitbit and notice my heart rate was above 200bpm ! I slowed down and it eventually got down to around 130bpm but I felt out of sorts, but continued to the dentist.

On my way home afterwards, I walked really slowly but heart rate still wouldn’t come down below 130 so once home I sat down and relaxed but noticed after half an hour it still was higher than normal so looked at the 111 online website, filled in questions and was told to get to A&E within the hour! I’ve also had a pain in my upper mid back for last two weeks which I thought was just muscular but by this time I was wondering if it was related.

Did that, after lots of waiting in the queue - eventually was seen and taken through almost immediately and was checked up. I was given some spray under the tongue which brought my high blood pressure down a bit, an aspirin and blood work was done and I was admitted for 24hr monitoring.

Diagnosis like Stable Angina and Reflux were being mentioned but more tests and xrays were ordered.
