Magnolia buds

Back at work today for a few hours - doing a phased return after my hip operation. It was fairly chaotic - hopefully tomorrow will be better!

I do love magnolias and just hope that we won't have strong winds when they start flowering as they get damaged so easily - but that's probably a vain hope if the recent weather is anything to go by. In the meantime, aren't they just lovely and furry?
