Womanfully

Wonderful sand formations at Sandwick beach.

We met A, who was single-handedly bagging up rubbish brought in by recent storms - mostly plastic and scraps of rope.

We added our gathered contribution to her black bag. Working her way methodically across the beach, she explained her target is a bag a day. With the threat of more gales to come next week, she was pushing on to do an extra bag today.

On Intermational Women's Day I wonder why 'womanfully' is not a word. It well describes A's determination to complete this task.
