Skiing at Sunshine

Last day for the local special ski days! We went to Sunshine Village for the first time and it was so much fun! Maybe it was because we were more comfortable skiing or because the runs were more fun but I enjoyed Sunshine the most. The runs are shorter than at Lake Louise but there are more options to choose from. We did spend a lot of time on the lifts because of the shorter runs but these ones didn't make me queasy so I didn't mind. Started snowing A LOT half way through the day right when we were on our way up Goat's Eye, a more difficult part of the mountain. We went with a guide and that really helped as the visibility was down to nothing because of the snow. The wind had blown most of the snow off and we were skiing into the wind so that run wasn't as enjoyable. So after that we stayed a bit lower to avoid the wind and got a few more runs in before taking the awesome ski-out back to the parking lot. Excellent day and I look forward to the Toonie Tuesdays coming up!
