Working

Today I forgot that I was on an express bus, so had to come back out of town to King's Buildings. Hence I went into the campus past the pickets. Two years ago I went on strike, but now it seems hard to argue that academics are badly off, when most are more concerned about their self-serving research than teaching or doing something else that might justify their salary. There was several other moments today when I realised that I've lost touch with the profession and it's time to get out. However, I met one prospective student who restored my faith the there are still some who want to learn.
