A seasonal pond.

No, that is not a lake behind us. It is in fact a flooded area on the forest floor. As you can see it has frozen over although it doesn't look very safe to walk on. The winter has been so wet as opposed to snowy that many areas have developed into ponds including several spots in our gardens. Anyway it formed the backdrop to the double selfie during the course of our daily walk today.
