The match ball in transit....

Another wet and windy morning, but it eventually brightened up after lunch, once the damage had been done.
The herds building up paddocks in the lambing field and laying sheets of tin over them to make roofs.
I spent the afternoon sorting out and clipping 17 Angus X bullocks and heifers for next week's sale at St Boswells mart. No sooner had I finished than Brian from Border Livestock came on the phone wanting to come out and see them with a view to selling them for me. Everyone is wanting your business, its just a case of where I end up with the most money in my pocket after all their different off takes.
Had to pick wee brother up from the garage this morning as his car in getting serviced. When we got to the farm road end this van was parked up with a generator running to boil a kettle.
Turns out they were stopped having a brew whilst doing a cycle trip between Murrayfield and Cardiff with the match ball for next weekend's Welsh match as part of the Wounded Lions 500. They planned to make it to Carlisle by tonight. Good luck to them as the weather was rotten. The only good thing was when they left us the wind was at their back !
