Rowing Club

On my way to Pier 7/ Waterfront Quay I passed men clearing up debris. This area is the only part of the Ship Canal that the City Council owns (extra). Nearly all the rest is the responsibility of the Manchester Ship Canal Company. South Bay excepted - it is another private ownership (extra).

On the way back, lots of activity outside the Rowing Club. Agecroft Rowing Club was founded in 1861, one of the world’s oldest open membership rowing club’s. I guess the rowers then would all have been men. These days it’s an activity favoured by a lot of women too.
