Coltsfoot

Dave had to get up with the fart of the sparrow in order to go across to Aberdour (first team meet of the season, island life is approaching....); I had plenty of marking and other chores to do. Went up to the allotment and the little blighters had scarfed all the seed (D had only re-upped the feeders on Monday). I picked some more purple sprouting (which is really glorious at the moment) and dug out a bit more from the dreadfully grassy edges to the borders. It was very cheering to see this coltsfoot glowing in the middle of an otherwise empty bed. Strange name, coltsfoot - from the shape of the flower buds before they open, perhaps?

Popped in to the Fitz-ys to give E a bit more help with her maths. She's slowly getting the hang of it.
