Brightness in Darkness

It never ceases to amaze me how people, in the depths of their own grief, find the kindness to send thanks.
Euthanasia of our patients is never easy. It's all the more difficult when it's a patient we have known from being a teeny puppy.
There's a grey-muzzled-creaky -old-Chocolate-Labrador-sized space in our hearts just now. Every time I pass the flowers in the waiting room, I smile as I remember her.
