Walking on Lake Windermere

Lake Windermere is in the upper reaches of the mighty Columbia River, nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountains.

It is shallow (average depth 4.5m) and long (17km), and at this time of the year is completely frozen.  

A magnificent sight!
