Kitchen view on a cold day

It was minus 14 on the school run this morning. My nostrils froze to a close.
Minus 14 is not much compared to other parts of the world I know, but there is a certain quality to the Gothenburg chill, like for example the Moscovite mother of one of my daughter's friends, who said that minus 30 in Moscow is alright, but this is killing me.
All the humidity I suppose. Imagine Glasgow at minus 14.
