2020 Wednesday — Friends
Wendell & Faye are from a small town in Ontario, Canada. They have been our friends for 40 years.
They wanted to travel the western coast of the U.S. and start from Seattle. They’ve got all of 11 days, so not enough time to begin in Seattle, so their plane landed in San Francisco.
They spent 2 nights with a high school friend in the Bay Area. They went to Muir Woods and they did the tour of Alcatraz.
Then they really should have spent a night in Monterey and/or Carmel, but didn’t. They really hurried too quickly thru the Big Sur Coast. They spent Monday night in Gorda, which is on the extreme south of the Big Sur Coast, so they were completely thru Big Sur proper before we knew it. They arrived at our place yesterday afternoon as rain was beginning.
We’ve had a blast just visiting with them. We had an early dinner with them at Martin’s yesterday and then drove to do some lookey-Lou and back to the house to yak and have dessert.
Then we spent half the morning today talking and then breakfast at Sea Shanty. And then they were gone.
They will be in SoCal tonight at Wendell’s little brother’s (Skeet’s) house in Rancho Cucamonga.
On Friday Wendell is installing Raingutters on Wendell’s high school Coach’s house in Norco.
I don’t know what their plans are for Saturday, Sunday, Monday. I think they fly home Tuesday.
We had such a good time with them.
