The Useless Doorway

There’s only two light industries remaining in our street - Brightwell Transport and Brandon’s Molasses. Brightwell’s has been around since the mid-1880s. Around 5 a.m. a night watchman checks that all is well. This morning at 7, someone was already in the office. Soon after, trucks loaded with China Shipping and Hamburg Sud containers left for Port Botany. Both industries will relocate eventually.

Not really an abstract blip, but I like the blocked-up door, a Hyperart Thomasson #2 that retains the beauty of its original purpose.
