Our fuel in New Zealand is ridiculously expensive. I stopped early this morning to fill the work car. Waitomo is new in Christchurch and renowned as a fuel discounter. The price of $1.90.9 per litre is around 20 cents lower than a couple of weeks ago but still very high as a result of multiple government imposed taxes. When I gained my driver's licence in 1971 fuel was 34 cents per gallon or around 7 cents per litre.
