Ivy covering this tree bark, please don't listen to so called experts on trees, ivy does not kill the tree, in fact, it creates a huge habitat for so much life & in strong gale force winds keeps the trees standing, in the great storm of 1987, most of the trees that got away with it, were covered in ivy, anchoring them down. Perfect. *Smiles*
