The Birds
My uncle was an avid birdwatcher when we were children. We often went birdwatching on joint holidays or down to the local RSPB reserve. I had my own binoculars and was a member of the Young Orthinologists Club when I was 11 - 12.
Sadly this geeky hobby was kicked out of me at Secondary School.
When we first moved to our house about nine years ago I began feeding the birds and it was lovely. I had loads coming, nothing exciting apart from once we had a sparrow hawk!
Anyway I stopped feeding them for reasons I cant quite remember.
Over the years I have thrown scraps out but nothing too serious. With all this snow I decided to do my bit.
I have loved it. I have hated the snow but loved the birds.
I still have nothing exciting common just your common all garden bird but it has been a pleasure to have them back in the garden. They have now taken to hanging around in the surrounding trees a lot more.
I am going to continue to feed them throughout the year now.
I have to say as well I am still shining my sink every night and I have also lost a few lb. I am doing quite well. x
