Another Gracie Twinkle-toes blip
The fish have moved out. The water too. The siphon lies in the empty tank and Gracie T-t wants to know where everything went and what that pale snake is doing in there. For a while she's tried several ways to get inside, but finally is ready to jump off the window ledge and up on her "condo-gym." (Future blip)
Trapped together in the house at -8ºF (-22º C) no one wants to go out and play with her. Actually, no one wants to play with her inside either, so she's finding lots of mischief jobs to do on her own. These are the days I wonder why on earth I got a kitten? That was over 2 years ago and she's still too entertaining at times.
Gracie T-t started her annoying activities work at 6 a.m. by trying to repair the ceramic water fountain by removing the heavy 18cm ceramic blubber on top. Apparently the water level got too low because I forgot to top it up last night. No water was bubbling up to the top for her paws to slap. Or to drink, I guess. It spills (or did) into a large basin used as a water bowl and as a catchall for the recirculating pump. By bouncing the cover off and letting it roll onto the tile flooring she certainly got me and the 2 old, sleeping cats up. She has special skills as a polydactyl cat with working thumbs. After a few more spills, she helped me mop the water off the tiles by sitting on the damp cloths-- hoping for a ride.
No end of help from my personal (purrsonal) assistant on this frigidly cold day. Sorry if the GT-t posts are boring you but she's the only thing moving inside or out. I'm waiting for this bright sunny day to reach Zero F (-17C). I'll settle for positive single digits before going out to get the mail or a glaring blip off the snow.
Is this when you are to wish everyone a "Nice Day"?
Okay.
