Ice Sculptures
The dilemma I alluded to yesterday in trying to show the detail in these ice sculptures was partly solved overnight with a light snowfall. You can at least make out some of the details in these now.
We had a Sunday schedule today to allow us to skip an extra weekend in conjunction with Chinese New Year and have 18 days instead of 12. I had a longish break this afternoon so I went for a VERY cold walk on Central street and took these pics.
Most of these are between 3 and 5 meters tall and are carved out of blocks of ice that have been cut from the Songhua River.
To see any kind of detail it's prolly best to view this LARGE....
