The Fairfield Horseshoe
One of the classic walks of the Lake District is to walk the U-shaped skyline around this valley. Usually it is photographed from the top looking down the valley and there are pictures of it in geology textbooks as an example of a glacial valley. The extra shows this top down view on an old slide that I took in 1973. The mono blip above is taken from Hampsfell.
