Moaning minnies...

For my sins I am now the Comp Sec at the golf club, and today was the start of one of our Major comps, the best 4 scores from 6 medal rounds, and today it blew a gale 60km an hour winds, I arrived at the club to be asked
"are we playing the medal today",
my response "yes",
reply "but it's blowing a gale"
my response "if I changed the game to a stableford comp would you play"
reply "yes"
me "hard lines, it's still a medal, if you can play stableford you can play medal, it's the same for everyone"

Much muttering and grumbling ensued, but they all went out and played. Overall the scores weren't too bad.
