wild at heart

I watched this boy and his dog for 10 minutes before they saw me.
He is skipping school, and in a make-believe world with his dog.
As i remembered my 10 y/o fantasies, i wondered what was he thinking about?
Warfare, space travel, dragons and castles?
Then he realized he was being watched,
and the possibility of real danger crossed his face.
The truant officer, a stalker, a bad person?
Time for both of us to go!
