En route to view some nearby flooding, which has thankfully gone down since yesterday, I came across these rather splendid gates to a hall which is not generally open to the public.
In a nod to flower Friday, the extra shows magnolias reaching for the sky, something which unfortunately, we won't be doing next month. We've decided to play safe and cancel our holiday, not least because some public transport and larger restaurants, events etc will not be running. Disappointing, but so would being stuck on an island with no way of getting off. Ferries have already been stopped. 
Keep calm and carry on gargling.
