Window alcove

I've always liked this wide window sill in the lounge here. Occasionally I clean the pewter coffee set, if I'm looking for something to do, but it looks good no matter how dusty or dull. Is it art deco? I'm not sure. The long-departed beloved cat in the photos is Mollie.

Culinary note: I popped into the café at the Smith Art Gallery in Stirling today for a bowl of soup. The soup of the day, in honour of the imminent Burns anniversary, was Haggis and Neeps - a first for me - and it was scrumptious!
