Hyacinths

Spring work in the tunnel is made more pleasant by the perfume of the hyacinths.  Over a number of years the hyacinths that have finished in the house have been planted in a corner of the tunnel. They have been left there permanently and when they have died back the area is used as a walkway to tend to sweet pea which are planted in front; no crop rotation in this area!
