Just an ordinary day?
Today in Stirling you could be forgiven for believing it's just another Saturday. But look again and you will see it isn't!
I am not sure exactly what is going on but I have two theories.
The first is that this whole thing is simply a crude but very effective mechanism to shift huge amounts of money (both present and future money) away from the masses (you and me) into the hands of a small group of already obscenely wealthy people through the stock markets and to a lesser extent unprecedented levels of panic buying of none essential items.

Although the first theory is quite frightening, if you care about your savings or pensions, the second is far worse.
The government actually know significantly more than they are telling us about this virus and that is why they appear to be going to such ridiculous lengths to contain something that, on the face of it, isn't that bad unless you are frail, elderly or have an underlying condition etc.
Let's put COVID-19 in context. In 2018 there were 1,784 deaths on U.K. roads. Yes just the U.K.
So why all the fuss unless there is something much bigger behind it?
I do know that some figures have not been released to us yet but even then you have to ask what is going on.
Look at stroke, cancer, poverty, famine, war, unsafe drinking water to name but a few.
All these kill millions every year but we have done nothing as dramatic as we have seen over the last few days to stop these unnecessary deaths.
Maybe COVID-19 is so dangerous because it doesn't just get expendables!
