Saint's Bay

Today I returned to the South coast at lunch time. The air was not as clear today and the cliffs were a little misty looking. My blip is of a feature I noticed a while ago. It is of a few square metres of cobbled path on a large rock on the edge of the bay. Reading up about this, it appears that in 1866 an attempt was made to build a harbour. This was partially constructed, but before it was complete a great storm washed it away. These cobbles are all that remain. I think its amazing that they have clung there for almost 150 years.
