Hairy Triffid?
This Pasque flower bud (Pulsatilla) is looking rather triffid like as it starts to emerge. I love their hairyness especially when covered in rain droplets.
We had an interesting church service today, fewer people there than usual and we all used hand sanitiser when we arrived. No service sheets or hymn books in case of spreading germs. A nod of the head for the Peace and only wafers taken at communion. Different but it worked.
These changes, including no catering so no tea and biscuits after church, are at the suggestion of the Church of England for health reasons and will be in place for possible the next 14 weeks. Interestingly in light of the rumoured proposals that all 70+ should self isolate, possible for months, there were only 7 under 70’s present.
Four of us in the choir, Chris and the Vicar and his wife!
Let’s hope that when these lovely Pasque flowers open we will have warm spring weather and the great hope of Easter to sustain us.
