Lockdown Day 2
The outing of the day was just along the road, a 3 min walk to pick up our pre-ordered roast chicken. Bb stayed home and he’ll have his trip out tomorrow if we need anything. If not, then we’ll both be at home. They allowed only one person at a time in the shop and there wasn’t a queue like most Sundays. The streets were deserted. I hoovered in the afternoon, mopped our tiled floors and we both sanitised the things we touch a lot - door handles, our iPads, phones and laptops, light switches, taps in the kitchen and bathrooms... this will become a morning routine now. Bb watched some TV. I prepared for an online course I'm going to start tomorrow for a month. We harvested our crop of one lemon!! See my blip, extra and Bb’s too. Enjoyed our gin and tonic with our own lemon -delicious!! Bb is rediscovering our collection of Bluenote cds. At 8pm, we applauded on our balcony to show solidarity and appreciation for the health workers. I find this very heartwarming and our neighbours in our little passageway were calling out to each other, touching our hearts etc. Now, about to have our roast chicken dinner to Bb’s choice of Bluenote jazz.
