Mr & Mrs Collared Dove

Our Niger seed feeder is just below the bird on the right and at the moment it’s these two collared doves that are eating their way through it.  In past  years we’ve had Siskins and Lesser Redpoll, but not this year.  I think it’s been too mild and they’ve managed to find food out in the fields.

In extra I’ve chosen a female pheasant photo as they’ve been demanding visitors this afternoon. The tamest one stands at the nearest wall and squeaks for attention.  After the large mob arrives first thing in the morning they then seem to split into little groups of male and females. So today its been the females turn.

I managed an hour in the garden this morning but didn’t get back this afternoon.
