Water Power

Another night of quite heavy rain.
This is Dulesgate Stream, flowing alongside Bacup Road, Todmorden.
In years gone by it would have powered the machinery in Stoneswood Mill - see Mrs.MD's Blip.
The Mill owner would have welcomed the volume of water, but not the force, so the weirs were built to reduce its power.
